MONTE PALLANO
Location: Monte Pallano, Tornareccio, Abruzzo (Italy) — 42.0322 N, 14.3952 E
Dating: 5th-4th centuries BC
Characteristics: A mostly preserved stretch of rough polygonal stonework extends for almost 180 meters. It stands up to 5 meters high in places and is characterized by three megalithic gateways.
Polygonal classification: Types I-II (Lugli)
Attribution: The walls are often credited to the Samnite tribes of the region.
