Characteristics: Isernia maintains numerous small stretches of polygonal masonry which may have formed a complete fortification circuit. One particular section of note is found within a restaurant in the town’s center.

Attribution: It is often attributed to the pre-Roman Pentri tribe of the Samnite people.
